Just like cross pollination of traditions and ideas, Karara Mujassme's inception is also an amalgamation of an Italian word ‘carrara’ and ‘Mujassim’ an Urdu word. “Carrara” is a magnificent Italian city well known for the finest marbles and ‘Mujassim’ depicts -a beautiful creation. Hence Karara Mujassme stands as creators of art, which inspires beauty.

Legacy

Entrepreneurs can come from myriad backgrounds and financial and personal support structures, but entrepreneurs like Mr. Satish Chandra always shine apart as they are self-made.

Heterogeneous mix of confidence, risk tolerance, self-discipline and determination is what best describes. Mr. Chandra. Without being handed a business or a trust fund; he took an idea that too from his sheer experience— and set forth to build something!

Mr. Chandra infused life back into the marble stone art, an art form which was dying a few decades back in India. Art is just not confined to canvas, and he believed there was ample scope and opportunity for those sculptors and artists in remote areas where their talent lay buried.

He went to the interiors in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Orissa to connect with the sculptors. He displayed their work to a new audience which was well accepted. This is was only the beginning to Karara Maujassme’s milestone.

By visionary aesthetic appreciation & meticulous business acumen, Karara Maujassme, founded in 1995, is an established brand today.

Now the baton has passed on to his sons Mr. Alok Jain and Mr. Akhil Jain. Another paradigm shift that Karara Mujassme brought into the art industry under their leadership was popularizing cast iron artifact creations which otherwise were decorating kingly palaces or were the privileges of nobles, amongst common people.

Breaking the perception barrier, Karara Mujassme has taken the above two art forms across the length & breadth of the country, not to miss out on our ever growing international foot print.

Mr. Akhil Jain strongly believed that cast iron had a lot of scope but it needs to be reinvented. He started with the idea of Cast iron benches and gazebos.  With his vision and unstinting hard work, his first success with cast iron was the Karara Mujassme’s cast iron benches installed at Red fort.

He has managed to build Karara Mujassme as a brand and today it has been supplying to Government of India, hotels, resorts, restaurants, golf courses, bungalows and farm houses.
